Contributions 2017 (closed)

PURPLSOC 2017 calls for high-quality and innovative contributions from both scientist and practitioners that address one or more of the following topics:

  • Application of the pattern language approach in all domains such as architecture, collaboration, education, creativity, IT, social activism, management, health and arts
  • An increase of understanding of Alexander’s fifteen fundamental properties of living structure and their application: motivation, empirical evidence, application, case studies, etc.
  • Application of the pattern language approach as a paradigm for societal change and innovation
  • Application of the pattern language approach in general and in everyday life
  • The PURPLSOC 2017 call is open for five different types of contributions:
    1. Research Papers
    2. Talks and Presentations
    3. Posters
    4. Workshop Proposals
    5. Exhibition Objects (design or architectural work, project presentations)


Authors are required to submit an abstract (description of their contribution, max 250 words), that will undergo an open review process by the program committee, until June 25th, 2017. Full papers/Detailed descriptions/Full Presentations are due September 14th, 2017. Research papers and other suitable contributions will be published in print after undergoing a double-blind review.

  • Conference: October 19th to 21st, 2017
